Basic Digital Photography Camp for Kids Ages 8-11
Would you like your child to learn about photography this summer?
KDP offers a one-day camp to go over the history of photography, the basic functions of a DSLR camera, settings, composition, lighting, white balance, posing, and careers in photography.
This class is a casual, hands-on format. There are technical lectures, however the day is mixed with different activities such as crosswords, flashcard games, memory games and various photography sessions to put their knowledge to use. We will not be going over editing or computer applications.
A Nikon DSLR camera (with a charged battery and neck strap) is recommended to bring to class, however, it is not required. The students with a camera will be able to participate in the practice sessions. Please note KDP is not responsible for your camera or lenses when they are in the possession of your student.
Pack a lunch for the day! We will take a mid-day break to eat.
This class is limited in size. You will be given a confirmation, location and more details when you’ve signed up.
Class Size: 3 students minimum, 11 students maximum (could make an exception for a large group)
Camp Cost: $240
A signed model release and full payment are due upon booking.
To register please fill out the contact form on the KDP website here and mention which camp you’re requesting to join: CONTACT After receiving your contact form, Kimberly will then get back to you with your model release contract and invoice.
